About

Opened Heart Publishing, a not-for-profit company, was founded by Rob Oberto, D.Min, in early 2015, to help Christians deepen their personal relationship with God through written media. We often say that we have a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ, but too often we don’t know how to deepen that relationship. Opened Heart desires to help make that relationship more real and vibrant.

Our books, blogs, and resources are carefully written, or chosen, to provide an intensely personal and biblical perspective on taking the next step in our relationship with God. Whether new or mature in faith, we can always know God more deeply. We can always be more open and transparent with Him. Opening our hearts to God is what we are all about.

Rob Oberto earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Bakke Graduate University in Seattle, WA, his Master of Divinity degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, MA, and his undergraduate business degree from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA. He has been a pastor, teacher, IT administrator, speaker, and writer.

This year, we made the big move from the Pacific Northwest to North Carolina. In the Pacific Northwest we enjoyed trips to the Oregon coast, Mt. Hood, and down the Columbia River Gorge. We look forward to discovering the beaches, of our new state.

Just about ready to take off from Winthrop, WA (2009) in our little Cessna 150. Good times. We miss our plane. It was great fun!

  1. Your pictures are beautiful! My husband would be so jealous. He enjoys the mountains. But as beautiful as the pictures, your message in God With Us is even better. Thank you for choosing to follow my blog. I pray it blesses and feel free to share it in your own if you think others would be encouraged by it. I look forward to reading more of your posts. Merry Christmas!

    1. Thank you for being a new follower! I’m glad you enjoyed the post “God is With Us.” The first Christmas was so full of Messianic fulfillment and the continued work of God to bring forgiveness of sin to all who would believe, that a thousand blogs would just scratch the surface. I look forward to reading more of your posts as well. Merry Christmas!
